Wow what a year! hundreds of emails, long forgotten photos, stories, tragedies, facebook
and a family tree that is growing with new branches being discovered.
A simple project to find my Dad`s family, has developed into so much more than just a list of names and dates.
No longer just about the Andreassend Family origins in Norway.
Its become a journey to discover the family stories, relatives and heritage in Norway, England Scotland as well as China.
Mostly importantly reconnecting hundreds of family in New Zealand, Norway, Australia and further afield.
To all my family Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!!! Ronald Andreassend:)

Wow what a year, hundreds of emails, long forgotten photos, stories, tragedies, facebook and a family tree that is still growing.
A simple project to find my Dad`s family, has developed into so much more than just a list of names and dates.
Getting to know relatives and making a connection has to be harder than a blind date at times! What do you say to someone you never knew existed yet are related to?
Sometimes it feels more like a public relations exercise, an art project or even research for a book or movie, than just a family history.
Its been exciting meeting so many relatives this year for the first time and made the effort all worthwhile!
Now that Albert`s family in Norway has been found the website will have a major facelift to include the wider family. .
The research has gone back to 1800 on the Andreassend/Danielsen side with and on my Mums(Robb) side to 1760 ann now includes hundreds of people. Thanks to all the contributions this year plus the people who have helped with the research- literally hundreds of hours this year alone.
It has been a real pleasure in being able to share the information, it belongs to all of us including family and friends.
regards Ronald
p.s for a preview of how the website will look I`m using the same layout as my business website www.chanandreassend.co.nz
